Chalk art is taking over Wisconsin at the end of July! Chalk the State is a statewide event organized by the Museum of Wisconsin Art and is an expansion of their annual Chalk Art Festival in West Bend. This summer’s chalk event includes organizations and communities across the state. During the weekend of July 25-26, Wisconsin residents are invited to create chalk art on their driveways and sidewalks and to share their creativity on social media.
The Paine Art Center and Gardens and the Downtown Oshkosh Chalk Walk are collaborating to support this event in Oshkosh. The Chalk the State-Oshkosh event is meant to be an engaging and educational arts experience for families in the greater Oshkosh area. It is a way to encourage families, adults, and kids to take to their sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots to create bright, joyful art, and spread positive messages to share with friends, family, and neighbors that remind us all that even apart, we can share and enjoy art. This event is sponsored by Horicon Bank and McClone.
This is this an all ages, all skill levels, totally inclusive, free-for-all explosion of creativity and expression.
