The Winnebago County Historical Society is sponsoring an Open House of the recently renovated 1869 William Doe House on Saturday August 31, 2019 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. The address is 456 Mt. Vernon at the corner of Merritt and Mt. Vernon. The William Doe House survived two great fires of 1874 and 1875 that leveled downtown and missed the house by a block.
The first 200 people through get a package of ‘Baby Dough’ ginger cookies made for the Doe House by Caramel Crisp, another fantastic Downtown Oshkosh proprietor.
