Oshkosh Chamber Singers: A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols Concert

Description

The Oshkosh Chamber Singers, accompanied by pipe organ and other instrumentalists, joins with community readers to offer Scripture readings of the Christmas story and related choral selections.

There are two performances: 4:00-5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m-9:00p.m.

The program includes several traditional Chamber Singers selections as well as newer pieces, including “Gloria in Excelsis Deo” by Daniel Pinkham, “My Lord Has Come” by Will Todd, “O Magnum Mysterium” by Kevin Memley, “I Wonder as I Wander” by John Rutter, and “My Soul Doth Magnify His Name” by Daniel Kallman. The audience will be invited to lift their voices in the congregational singing of familiar carols.

The conductor is Herb Berendsen, and the guest organist is Jared Stellmacher.

Cost

$15 in advance; $20 at the door; $5 students
