Downtown Business Improvement District (BID)The BID was created in 1987 to assist downtown business owners in coordinating their efforts in regard to marketing, promotion, property management, revitalization and maintenance programs. The BID also encourages and assists in new business development in the area and allows property and business people to have a role in directing the affairs within the district which influence their investment and environment. Minutes, agendas and more information on the BID Downtown Oshkosh BID Recruitment Fund Grant (RFG) The RFG provides qualified businesses with grants for up to $5,000 for expansion and/or relocation into the BID. Qualifying businesses must go through the RFG application process. Oshkosh Area Econmic Development Corporation (OAEDC)The Oshkosh Area Economic Development Corporation is a public-private partnership that was formed as an arm of the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce to promote and assist with the growth and development of the commercial businesses in the Oshkosh Area and to promote and coordinate downtown development activities. The Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce works to develop the Oshkosh area to its full potential by providing continuous and effective leadership. Its strength lies in the active involvement of its membership. Both large and small businesses, from virtually every profession, are represented and influence the direction of the Chamber. In 2004, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce accredited the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce with the highest possible honor—a five-star accreditation. Oshkosh Convention & Visitor's Bureau The Oshkosh Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) promotes Oshkosh
and Winnebago County as a premier destination. The area is home to several
events each year that result in an economic impact of over $230 million,
adding to the state’s second largest industry, tourism. The CVB
works with the leisure market as well as the meeting and event markets.
